cv boot?

i was changing my oil, and i noticed a tear in my left cv boot. It is wet all over the left inner wheel, with the oil or whatever is in the cv boot.

is it possible to replace just the cv boot? or will i have the replace the axle.

Good thing these axles are the old ones that always came with the car, and i still have my new euro-r axles... (hope they work on a 4g lude, at least i know they'll connect up to the tranny on the tranny side... dunno about the wheels)

I'm just wanna know if i can not fix the axle, but replace the cv boot so mechanics can't trick me, and whether or not someone knows that the axles on the euro-r accord (euro-r h22a) would work with my 4g lude... (any speculation?)

yes.. you can just replace the CV-boots..... its a simple but messy process... shouldn't take more than an hour or 2 at the most with the right tools..

if you want.. you can change the axle.... but I doubt you need to..

I highly recommend buying the CV boot from Honda.. simply because it comes with everything you need for $30.. you get the boot, axle nut, 2 clips (small and big), 2 open o-rings, and a pack of greese...
