I'm going to be ordering some new leather/suede upholstrey for my milano red 4th gen. I was contemplating going with balck leather with dark grey suede inserts in the seat backs and bottoms, but now I almost feel like the two-tone thing has been overdone. So, I thought that black leather with balck suede inserts would still look nice, while relying on the different textures to create a kinda two-tone look. And no, I don't want something blatent like black and bright red.
Why do you say it's not practical? Keep in mind, I'd be using one of the new synthetic suedes (alcantara, ultrasuede, etc) that has significantly better wear resistence and is super easy to clean.
You've probably got a point there, I had my Camaro about 22 years ago, fabrics have probably vastly improved in that amount of time. At that time, I was happy with mine for about a year, before it showed signs of wear and tear. i do agree with you on the look of the combination, I have always thought it looked good.
I like the look (and color options) of the leather more, but the suede apparently dosn't get nearly as hot and sweaty which is really important down here in the southern summertime. Also, it offers a lot more grip so I wont go flying out of the seat on corners. I'm leaning towards the all black option. I think the differing textures will break up the seats nicely but not be too distracting.
