Coilovers didnt drop back enough, what can I do to fix it?
I just put the ebay brand coilovers on my 4th gen yesterday and they dropped the front so that it sits on the tire, but the back still has a big gap... does anyone have any ideas to fix it? Or could we have put them on wrong or something? Its pissin me off and looks like hell
Ummmm, coilovers are adjustable. I am assuming you have the short spring that lay on a cylindrical thread like thing. Its like a screw, you can screw it up or down.
check the coilover sleave in the rear,
one side should have threads that go all the way to the edge of the sleave (bottom)
And the other side has threads that stop about 1/2 inch from the edge (top)
If it's upside down and that gap is at the bottom then you won't be able to fully lower your car
Did you let them settle? My coilovers took FOREVER to settle, I'm talking about a week or two. I'm being dead serious too, those b*tches were pissing me off. I had the same problem, the back was higher, but it finally is even now.
I have Skunk2's and my rear went soo low that my exaust dragged on the ground. Like 3-4 inches tucked. I raised it to be even with my fenders.
We installed with no Bumpstop because they said it would be a better ride, My ride is pretty damn good.
My fronts when we installed them were adjusted all the way down and it was perfectly level with the fender. But after a week they sunk. They prolly setteled almost 3 inches.
i guess i'm gonna have to wait for 2weeks huh?????????
i was working on my car today, and it was just me.
i took every thing out on the back(which is s.)put it all in.
and still there is gab between fender tire, but it's gonna
settle.....
and YES you gotta cut the bumstops ONLY HALF....
let me know !!!!!
if you need anything
i'll help you out
as long as i got some thing on my head.....
hahahahahahaha>>>>>>
