well i am planning on buying a used cf hood from a friend. he claims the hood is like a year old. its a vis cf hood. anyways the cf wraps around the edges does that mean its the newer style vis hoods because i hear the new vis hoods have very good fitment. is there any way i can tell if its the older ****ty vis hoods or the new vis hoods. also the clearcoat on it is not as good as it use to be. he said it would be good to get a new clearcoat put on. heres my question. does the old clear coat have to be taken off or u just spray over the old clearcoat. thanx guys.
CF hoods have a gel coat... And my friend took his to a body shop to get it clear coated and the guy wouldnt do it because he didnt want to sand the gel coat off, I dont know im sure you can find someone to do it though.
