Chrome Valve Cover

Anyone have a pic of a chrome h22 cover on the engine? I'm looking into getting one done.

You're probably thinking of just a polished valve cover. Chrome plating aluminum is generally not a common practice.

You might want to get in Kermachromed (ceramic coated then polished) It looks pretty good not as shiny as chrome but close. I sent my heat shield to this place and had it done.

That's how i'd like mine too.. What would the process be for acheiving that look? Lots of sanding with a fine grit?

remove the paint, then sand with a course grit, then finer, then finer, then finer, then rough polishing compound, then medium polishing compound, then a metal polish.

or

find a polisher and pay them about $60 to polish it for you. I polish all my own stuff (except for my alt.) but I have a polishing wheel setup so it doesnt take me as long.
