You might want to get in Kermachromed (ceramic coated then polished) It looks pretty good not as shiny as chrome but close. I sent my heat shield to this place and had it done.
remove the paint, then sand with a course grit, then finer, then finer, then finer, then rough polishing compound, then medium polishing compound, then a metal polish.
or
find a polisher and pay them about $60 to polish it for you. I polish all my own stuff (except for my alt.) but I have a polishing wheel setup so it doesnt take me as long.
