They have helmets you can use. Only prep you really need is a day set aside. You can race stock or modded. There are lots of first timers out there, so you won't be alone. You are welcome if you aren't racing, but once you're watching you will wish you were racing.
PS. you just missed the event in Milwaukee yesterday.

It also frustrates me that there is over 6 million people in the Tri-state area, and we have trouble putting 15 or 20 together for a meet!
15-20 lude at a meet is very good ... we used to get that a year ago until this year where TPC just took off with the amount of new people..
ChicagoLand Prelude Club 1st Ever Auto-X Meet @ Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet this sunday....we already have atleast 3 ludes going....the CPC website will hopefully be up and running soon and then the group should really soar cause we can store tons of info on the site...I am also gonna make a real simple flyer to put on the 5 or so Ludes I see here at the University of Iowa...some hot-ass girl was drving one!

Everyone that is in the group should get the mail. I sent out a "Special Notice" today that you should get. However, when you signed up you selected the kind of email you wanted, if you selected "None" then you aren't going to get informed and you need to check the site. I understand the site is slow, we are working our own site.
If you really want to keep up with everything you should have "Individual Email" selected and you will receive all of our post in you email. If you want to change this and don't know how or are too lazy to do it shoot me an email w/ you username and I'll do it for you.
If you have a hotmail account the emails go right to your Junk mail box so you Inbox Box doesn't get filled up. Personally I have my hotmail account accessed thru Outlook Express so I get all of the post in Outlook. If you have questions regarding this you can email me also.

BUT, I guarantee you that you'll be standing there watching us run, thinking in your head over and over again "damn I shoulda just autoxed, it looks like so much fun! Damn it damn it damn it..." hahaha. Watching and doing are totally different! But even if you don't do it, it'd be great to have you show up. Nice to meet another fellow luder.
