If you ship it seperately I think it might be cheaper. When I shipped a rear lip and a front lip it cost me less than $10 each UPS.

Sorry to whore your thread, but did you already have it packaged up or did you just bring the lip into the store and tell them you wanted to ship it?

I managed to ship an RS front and Rear from NC to FL for $16. That was 3 day ground. I packed it all in really tight and secure and made a custom cardboard box, it Basically looked like this.... |________| so try that and you should come out real cheap... btw its 4:15 am

that's crazy man, now it's 430. But um, I usually ship big stuff threw a freiend of mine who has a business account with fed ex, so since he uses them so often he gets a hefty discound.

I have been using FedEx Ground lately, seems to be consistantly cheaper than USPS or UPS.

For very large items, I have used Greyhound. The person has to pick it up from the Bus Station, but is usually a fraction of the cost.

But do those prices above include insurance if the goods are damaged? I would imagine that is why parts companies charge so much money.

When you ship with UPS it insures the first $100. If you want to insure more its like a few bucks more.

yeah i had mine insured for $500.

My dad has a fedex acct and even with the discount UPS still came out cheaper. But imo you should package it as tight as possible, then take demensions and then call up USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Grey Hound, and Air Borne and compare the prices. Good Luck

I would bubble wrap it first and then put in a carboard box

the guy that sent me my front sent it in just bubble wrap and the greyhound people beat the shi t out of it... so use the carboard so it doestn' split or chip it
