cheapest car insurance

well my car prelude just about to be back on the road and i need to get insurance so I would like to find the cheapest insurance I could get. liability. I don't care for coverage. I'm only getting it cause its the law. I'm a good driver and I'm not worried about my car getting stolen because of my anti-theft stuff and I don't drive my car to certain places. so what insurance do you have and how much do you pay. I live in california so it might be a little different. well just looking for some input before i start getting quotes.........................its been so long since my car had insurance so i don't remember how much i paid but i had farmers....

Just fyi, liability on my 1994 prelude for 6 months with nothing on my record was the same as full coverage on my bmw m coupe.

For me, the cheapset I could find is Unitrin Direct.
http://www.unitrindirect.com

I've been with them for the last 4-5 years. They've had great service when I have called and the best deal every time I've checked. I haven't had to make any claims, so can't comment on that.

liability only for me with allstate was 32 dollars. Try those ones that have those daytime commercials. You know the ones they play when everyone is at work?

I don't understand, how is that possible. generally a bmw is worth more than a honda and the same goes with liability and full coverage. was it the same insurance company. well who knows......I might just go with allstate like thegammit. $32 bucks is dirt. and beats some hole in the wall insurance, just to save 5-10 more bucks.

^Well it has to do with other things.

Prelude = more stolen. There are plenty of people on here that went to G35 and their insurance lowered from a prelude.

My bmw is rare (2800 in the US ever made), so less likely stolen. Hard to move parts on a rare car I guess (unlike civic / prelude).

I guess it's just how it worked out I guess. I will say prelude was before I was 25 and I had the bmw right after. So it was cheaper afterwards. Probably an extreme example.

How old are you? What area do you live in? These 2 are huge factors.

Im 17. I own a 93 Prelude VTEC. "Military" insurance. I pay 20 bucks a month. Haha for a minor who has a pretty quick sports car 20 bucks aint bad.

Call different places and compare rates is about the only way to do it.
