This is my first winter lowered and due to the bad weather we have been having, I need to take the car in for a wash. I am lowered about 1.3" (H&R Sports + Tokico HP) and was wondering if I would scrape on the rail or anything. I do not have any kit.

Cmon guys, I'm sure someone has run across this problem. Help me out. By rails I mean the two metal rails on the left thru which we drive the front and rear driver-side wheels thru. Thanks!

I just do the wash it yourself method. That way i don't risk bottoming out or geting hung up...

I'm lowered 1.5 and I scrape real bad. Do as said above, the touchless style with the pad you drive onto or the do it yourself place, most of those have garage doors that you can close.
... I assume your talking about the drive through do nothing youself car washes ..
i wouldnt trust those anyways because they basically beat your car down with wet (dirty) cloths.
From your sig pic it looks like there is a good chance you will scrape .. I know after seeing the most recent car was like that there is no way I'd be driving my car through and im 4gen dropped 1.5" ..
Just goto the wand wash .. you'll do a better job anyways.. my gf ran her cavalier through one of the drive through washes a while ago and there was dirt all running down the back of her car ..
the touchless is a better option if you want speed wash but still, the wandwash gives you such a great job and you can towel your own car off afterwards knowing its fully clean.
as far as cleaning under you rcar, bring your jack to the wand wash with you and hike it up one one side and use the brush. then give it a good spray down ..
He he .... not lazy, sometimes it is practical to go to the auto car wash ... specially when it is -25 outside. I will wait for the weather to get warmer and then hit the manual car wash bay.

I'm lowered 1.5" and at this one car wash I used to go to I scraped big time so I had to stop going there. There's a new carwash near my house though and never scrape at all there. I guess it really matters where you go.

^ sissy. I do the carwash in -25 before ... there are 2 garage doors and they close front/back and keep you somewhat warm .. still out in my down jacket but make good and sure to wipe down the door jams til they're super dry .. and everywhere else you dont want ice
Mine is lowered on H&R sports, and I scraped the hell out of the bottom of my car at one wash. Just find one that doesn't have anything raised in the drive, and you should be ok. I have good luck with a Shell that's near campus. Obviously, I'd prefer to hand wash, but I don't have a hose/faucet available.

Those drive through car washes is about the worst thing you can do to your car, why dont you just key it yourself! Ive seen those things catch a windshield wiper or a peice of trim and then proceed to beat the hell out of the car with it . Do it yourself if much safer and does a better job.
