Does anyone know the specs of the carbon fiber twill that is used in making carbon fiber hoods?? TIA

well there is cloth carbon fiber, Dry carbon fiber (its left rough and not shiny) and there is pre preg carbon fiber (needs to be baked in an autoclave) there are tons of different weaves and patterns available. I had some scraps from some prototype stuff that Ferrari was making and I made some gun grips out of it and thet turned out kick ass.

6K is the tow size aka the number of strands in each bundle that are wrapped together. you also need to know the type of weave (usually Twill or Plain for hoods) and the weight of the material.

best thing to do is contact the manufacturer and find out what they use.
