A/C isn't working....what should I check first?

It used to be nice and cold but all of a sudden for the past week or so it doesn't cool at all. I'm not sure what to check first. When I press the A/C button it sounds as if the compressor is coming on because I can feel the rpm's drop slightly. But the air is still hot. Is the some common problem in Prelude A/C's that I should know about before continuing.

Sounds like you need a re-fill. A kit of R34 is about $35-$40. Make sure you add it to the low pressure line not the high pressure. Instructions come with the kits.

Make sure something didn't puncture a hole in your A/C condensor as well.

If you need a refill then you have a leak somewhere, better find out if you have a leak instead of keeping on refilling it

Yup. Good advice as it's expensive to keep filling it. You can get stuff with a dye in it so you can see where it's leaking out. If you refill it and it runs out in a few months or so, you have a leak.
