brake brand question

hey everybody
so i searched and couldn't find anything on this brand and was wondering if any of you have these brakes, have had them, or know anyone that has them.

they are the O'Reilly Brake Best Select ceramics.

just wondering about quality.
I can get them local for about $75 front/back

i was also searching and it seems that the hawk hps brakes are the best bet, although the cheapest i can find these for is $130 front/back.

wondering if the difference would really be worth the extra $55
all my money is going to rent and school right now, so moneys tight.

thanks guys

I have those on my car right now and I have no problems. unless you are planning on racing on a track, I would say get them they are cheap, easy to get and good brakes. save the $55 on something else, that $55 is just for the name anyways.

There good brakes, decent not superb. Dont buy anything from pepboys. I.e. brakes or rotors, they blow

Depends on how you drive the car really. HPS isn't that aggressive, but more so than the generic stuff.

Awsome, thanks for the feedback guys.

Yea it's my daily driver. I take it on the back roads a lot, but no track racing.

legit looks like that extra $55 is my next tank of gas

another thing too.

I'm not really digging the rust look on the calipers. I was thinking of painting them while I'm doing the brake pads but i wasn't sure what color to paint them.

Any suggestions on color?

My lude is EGP, i was thinking a golden bronze?
And i have the stock wheels.

And does any one know where i can get this color?

I still use OEM calipers but I recently installed Hawk HPS pads in the front and back, brembo blank rotors in the front, Goodridge steel braided brake lines, Amsoil fully synthetic dot 3 brake fluid, and i had my rear rotors resurfaced. This made a HUGE difference!!!!! The hawks bite so hard!!! I would strongly recommend any of the parts that I have on my car.

Silver/Gray is a good paint color if you want them to look pretty stock. Most auto parts stores will carry the high temp paint needed for calipers. Be sure to clean/scrub and degrease before applying.

HPS are good pads, but the HP+ are even better for a street car that needs extra bite.
