Well, I finally had a chance to take more pictures of my blown engine. I would like to describe it, but I think these pictures would speak for it self...... So, here they are.

She's petite, blue, and very eye catching. She's loud when she needs to be, and she loves to scream when I romp on it.
Well, this happened due to broken rod. I posted part 1 about a month ago.
My plan.....well, get new engine. I already found a used 00' SH engine with 10,000 miles on it. As soon I get the engine, I will dismental it and send the block to GE to have it resleeved. I DON'T want to experience same thing again. And later, when I pay off this mistake, I will save up and buy a turbo kit.

You "had" Type S pistons right?? what kind of rods were you using?? I'm thinking about getting Type S pistons and rods but your pics have me kind of scared... What kind of fuel managment were you using? was it the rod or the piston that failed (or do you know)?

Well, sorry to dissapoint you but, there was no "KABOOM" I just heard some metal clinking sounds, and when I saw my rear view mirror to what it was, I saw metal pieces flying down from underneath of my car.

I was using stock rods. I wanted to have the rod replace too, but I thougth it was going to be OK. But, as usual, my guess was WAY off. If I were you, I would replace the rods too. Get inexpensive ones like Eagle rods. It was not a problem with the pistons, it was with the rod.
Oh yeah, I was nitrous too.....but when this happend, I wasn't using it.
see guys, I provide valuble pictures and lessons on PO.com with my own expense. Don't follow my step, so don't cut corners when it comes to upgrading engine. Do everything once and do everything right.
