Big brake kits?

Im considering upgrading my brakes soon to a big brake kit such as rotora or stoptech. My question is can you put larger rotors and caliper on the back? I remember reading somewhere that certian people with certain cars put the same big brake kit on the rears. Would it actually work? Has anyone tried it? Also anyone work with stoptech or any other decent brake kit? Any ideas or suggestions welcomed.

My honest opinion would be to not upgrade the rears. They hardly do anything as it is and adding all that wieght is not helpfull, either. I don't even have my rears hooked up right now and it's barely noticeable.

if you do anythign to rear, just upgrade rotors with something like brembo slotted and pads, maybe even ss lines. Since most of the stopping force is on the front wheels, the smae size rears would be redundant.

If I were you, I would do a ton of research before you do any upgrades to your braking system. I highly recommend the information that can be found on stoptech's website. Everything that you need to know to make an informed decision on brakes can be found there.

And no, I would NEVER install a big brake kit that was designed for the front on the rear.

When I took my ABS out I didn't have any more time left to run custom lines all the way to the back (long story), so I just plugged them up temporarily thinking I would fix it soon. Buuuuuutt when I started driving it around like that it felt the same so I haven't been worried about running those lines. I do intend to do it someday.........

^i don't think thats very safe if you encounter any situations where you need to stop immediately, all the work is done by the front wheels...

I'm curious to see why preludesh01201? are you going autocross or has FI? If not I belive better fluid, stainless lines and maybe new rotors will be plenty and save you some money.

IMO, BBK's are pointless unless you track your car a lot, especially for the money you pay for them. If you want better stopping power, upgrade your pads, change the fluid to better fluid, and stainless lines. That should be more than enough.
