i hold no biased opinion to either 4th or 5th gen because i dont even own a lude. but i love the front end of the 4th gen and i love the rear end of the 5th gen. but when done right i well always pick the 5th gen over the 4th.

4th gen all the way.... cutting edge interior, aggressive front end, sporty body lines, lightweight.

5th gen front end looks like the Ford Fusion.... :/

The 4th gen is easier to mod, is lighter, and definitely is the better racer.

We're talking about looks though, and the 4th gen does not turn heads, the 5th gen does.

Nothing else to say.

if i HAD to choose one, i would say 5g. not because i own one but because i think it looks like a modern 3g. i think, for its time, the 3g was the hottest car in its class.

the 1g is classic and i still like the way it looks! my buddy had one in high school and i've always wanted to find one and restore it to showroom condition. perhaps one day...

the 2g had the ultra-sweet 300zx turbo and mazda rx7 turbo to compete with. both the nissan and mazda made the 2g look rather plain.

although the 3g prelude had to deal with the ultra hot supra, wild rx7 (FD), and newly remodeled 300zx, all three, the nissan, mazda, and toyota were nearly 150% the price of the prelude! this, to me, was the golden age of import sports cars. however, those cars were ridiculously priced! add in the 4ws available on the 3g, you couldn't find a hotter car for the price!

the 4g is...'ite. i personally think the design is a bit too confused and departed from the other generations a little too much. between its long dashboard, jack-o-lantern taillights and bulbous body, i, personally, never found it appealing. probably why honda brought the "prelude-look" back with the 5g. :\

the 5g, i like, primarily, because it reminds me of the 2g and 3g. though, i admit, i'm not crazy about the 5g's bug-eyed headlights...

my 0.3 cents.

i love my 5th gen and miss my 4th gen they look nothing like the same cars id probably still own a 4th gen but finding a honda around my area that hasnt been wrecked riced or rusted out is near impossible thats why i finally went with my 5th gen. no other honda like a prelude. like another poster said though my next car will most likely be a g35 unless i find a nice chevelle ss reasonably priced but nothing will ever replace the spot my lude holds in my heart

Everyone that gets in my car always says something about the interior. Like "looks like a spaceship cockpit." They really did design a cool interior in the 4gen. I like the a$$ end of the 5gen, but other than that nothing. The 4gen is just smooth and sexy. Definately designed with the contours of Megan Fox. The 3rd gen is just... uhm ugly.

That's funny 'cause I've always called 4th gens spaceships, but not in an endearing way.

I'll forgive you for calling 3rd gens ugly. I mean, you own a spaceship after all.
