Driving around Jersey the other day and went over a pothole that apparently was a bit *too* "raised" in a construction zone which caused my exhaust to "bend". Hard to explain, here's a pic:
From the pic you can see it's tilted towards the left. I have some more pics in:
Does anyone know what I have to do to bend this back in place? the other pics on that url has some underbody shots..not sure if gives anyone any clues since I can't seem to figure out where it got bent.
same thing happened to superflea..check all the hangers en stuff first....
he needed to get a new pipe made which you dont want to do on a mugen......hard to geet mederal bends and even ss material....bring it to a shop i guess

Just let me know if you want to stop by. If it's this weekend Sunday is the best day. Email me if needed (want to keep this on topic).
Yes definitely one of a kind now - but actually, I don't really notice anything strange when driving with this. Hopefully, even with the slight bend, it functions as it should. I really haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary when driving. Actualy, question, if there was a dent associated with this bend, will I notice it right away in terms of driving around?
nah, you won't notice a small dent while driving around. The only place you would notice it is at a dyno, and it would probably be nominal at that. Now, if it was "cratered" in you might notice some power loss, but I don't think it is cratered in. From the looks of things it is just bent (I would guess around the last bend before the muffler). Can you see where the impact was?

Are you 100% positive that it was not bent to the left from the beginning? Maybe you have some old pictures for comparison? In most of your pictures it looks like it's sitting fine.
Are you sure it's not a bent hanger. I kinda did the same thing a few weeks ago in a parkinglot late at night. It was a raised manhole cover, but there was tar covering it. I hit part of it and it knocked off 2 hangers. I put them back on and my muffler is angled slightly now. It still rattles on bumps and sharp corners leading me to believe I messed up my hangers. Luckily it's all custom and I'm getting my exhuast quieted down with a longer resonator and re-hung for my S/T bar so it's no big deal.

Yes it was definitely not angled like this before hitting the manhole.
