That is kinda hard to imagine because Ground Control uses Eibach springs...

Yeah, but if you look on the GC's website their Eibach springs look like they have been shrunk to fit the application. If it is a smaller spring it would have to be stiffer too right (to prevent bottoming out)?

I've currently got the Eibach Prokit (which I'm happy with), but would love adjustability...has anyone here to 1st had experience w/ the GC's, and what shock are you using?

It all depends on the spring rate, the free length has nothing to do with it. If you look at your typical lowering spring that's made to work with stock type dampers, there are quite a few deal coils to take up the extra space to keep the spring seated in the damper.

Billy do you know what spring rate Ground Control will send you if you dont ask for a special rate? I have asked around and all I have gotten was: I dont know or I think its a secret. I thought I would ask someone with a wealth of info

Look for the ground control spring rates listed on here. I think it's like 475 and 350 or something like that.

G/C & Koni's! I love my ride and u can get the spring rate that u desire with no extra cost! I have 400/300 very nice ride but stiff! A little stiffer could be better I think, all about what u like! G/C's are around $300, Koni's around $450 to $500! Teins are like $1000 at the least new! To much!

We've been happy with our Skunk2/Tokico Blue setup. It seems that this is not the preferred setup here, but it did save some cash. Anyone in the Milwaukee area have Groundcontrols/Konis? You'll have to take me for a ride (and vis versa) to compare side by side.

GC/koni setup. Even tho i have the Tokico Illuminas, the koni fit the Koni GC perfect. but i still love my shocks. Didnt Malken have the Tanabe SS and said that it really sucked?

So what is the best spring rate to have? What would u get if u ordered again? I don't want to make a mistake and hate them.

Well..it really depends on what you want to do with it. Is it for autocross, show, street, daily, etc.??? The standard spring rate for GC if you dont special order is 380f/250r.(I asked GC) I just recently order a set of GC. Origianally i ordered 450/350 but i decided to just go with 400/300 because the roads here are terrible. I'm also using koni yellows. I think i'll be satisfied with this set up. Try calling GC, they can help you find a good setup for you. They were very helpful for me.

also do a search on "ground control"...I started a thread about GC spring rates a while ago.
