Arospeed floor bar... functional or just for looks?

what do you guys think of the new floor bars by Arospeed? they bolt directly onto the bottom of your seatbelt mounts.. supposed created a brace between each side of the chassis to reduce flex.

good stuff or another scam?

We've already got little enough back seat room as it is. Unless you're into hardcore handling and never put people in the back, I wouldn't bother. Just get some tie bars instead first.

Yes, they also make a fake roll cage that has a disclaimer "for looks only, not for safety" or something like that. They also make an intake with a large rectangle filter that mounts on the bumbper to look like an intercooler so people will think you are turbo.

Talk about rice.

That's pretty bad. At least Rota doesn't put anything on there copies except a center cap with their logo on it.

SCC mag tested these on a civic about 1 year ago, for autoX they do help , and they also do stiffen the chasis. Mostley for show on a street car though

well, the way you can test if it work is, when you jack up your car, it is hard to shut the door because the chasis is flexin'. Once you install the bar, the door should shut like normal. It probably DOES do something, but as stated, unless you race it, you will probably never feel the difference.
