Apexi N1 exhaust

I'm planning on buying a used Apexi N1 exhaust and i was wondering if there is anything on the exhaust that shows its the real deal. Such as the Apexi logo on the side, if it is stainless steel, and what colour the piping is. If any of you have pics, please post. Thanks.

mine has a plate on the bottom of the muffler, but I have also seen some with the apex'i logo etched on the side of the tip... maybe your just going to get the "n1 style" muffler

I just went out to see the exhaust. The piping looks mint It looked exactly like the n-1, but it had no apexi stamp. But he said that it was purchased about 5 months ago. So I'm not too sure whether or not to take it. He's selling for $500 CDN.

So a genuine apexi n1 should have the apexi logo somewhere on the exhaust?

How about how is it supposed to hang off the car? Should it be straight, or angled?

Angled. And i would think it should have a logo somewhere? Do a search and find some pics of it. Its pretty one of a kind. I mean, there are a lot of N1 style exhausts, but if youve seen one before, you know the difference between an Apex'i and a universal.

Let me put it this way - does anyone here have a genuine apex'i N1 that doesn't have any time of apex'i logo/stamp/decal on it?

my doesn't, but i am very positive i have a genuine one, i got mine from XS-Engineering which is the largest distributor of Apexi in CA and they are very reputable

and i called Apexi and confirmed that N1 that's manufactured before year 2001 doesn't have the plate

So N1's manufactured before 2001 have nothing on them to say that its from apex'i? Just a blank plain exhaust? Also, I noticed that there was a small hole on the tip for a silencer. But do any of you guys know if the universal mufflers have the same hole?

Anyone know what they pack a 3" universal N1 with? I've heard steel wool makes for better packing material than fiberglass.
