Anyone use New AEM DryFlow Air Filter?

Ok, so I was planning on ordering a new air filer for my V2 intake, because while cleaning it I noticed some damage in two places. While looking for a replacement filter, I noticed AEM is pushing their new "oiless" DryFlow filter. I am a bit reluctant to purchase something I know very little about, so was wondering if any of you have used this filter and have noticed it better or worse than the old oiled style filters.

the reason they are pushing their dryflow is because the old was could cause damage to certain parts of the intake system (mainly if you oil it too much, cars with MAF sensors could get damaged)

plus, they figured out the K&N filter has way reduced filtering capabilites when "full" than a regular paper filter at the same time. read "k&n gets clogged faster"

which is all why AEM might be pushing the dryflow filters...

i will be switching soon because i need a new filter.

I just recently installed my dryflow and the first thing i noticed is how much lighter it is then my other filter. The other one was in terrible shape and i dont think it had been cleaned in 6 years. I was gonna test to see if the new filter improved my gas mileage but my tranny blew 2 days after putting it on ill have to test after tranny is working.

You didn't clean your filter for 6 years!!!... Are you hoping you will need a JDM H22 engine swap sooner rather than later???

I plan on going with the AEM Short Ram Dry filter when I do my H22 Swap next month. Glad to hear you all like them.

PS... it should improve you MPGs seeing as that last filter was probably sucking as hard as it could to squeeze in a little air!
