Pretty wild, never saw that before. I'm guessing nobody here is running one though. For $65 if you're in need I'd give it a shot.

Yeah I just bought that one and I'll give it a try. Theres not a whole lot of info on them. I've read lots of articles stating that they are better than conventional hi flow cats, but no proof. random tech also started making them, but with a bigger price tag.

Magnaflow Catalytic Converter
hey jflipwaI, did I get you right that you bought this one? hows it going so far? yous see, I have the 54956 just installed and I just love it , they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty (the salt on the roads here in winter kills an exhaust) so I got it here magnaflow 54956, or you can try one of the vendors here, they are always running sales/specials. either way its a great system and very easy to install. so, hows it going so far? anything I should look out for? thanks in advance

No problems with it. It does put off that catless scent my b16 straight pipe del sol did. I threw a code for my secondary o2 sensor just once since its been on, but I think the sensor is on its last leg anyhow. My primary sensor went out about 2 months ago before I had this cat on.

Hey man i was using the search when i ran along your old topic

I have a few questions, i'm replacing my exhaust system and looking at this 'cat' 1. doesnt look like the "conventional" cats, and 2. is hell of a lot cheaper than even the other magnaflow cats.

Have you had any 'big' problems with this one? noise increase too much? (like you are looking over your shoulder passing cops) constant o2 sensors failing & throwing out CEL codes? thanks man just want to do all my research before i spend loot ya know.

Oh, i will be having a custom 2.5" - 3" pipe all the way back, possibly getting Hy-tech replica header, have a Greddy 4" tip muffler at the moment, might just reuse it, any info will be greatly appreciated thanks!
