Anyone familiar with NIPPON wheels?

I came across a set of wheels that I like called the Nippon EVO. I have not heard much about nippon wheels since most people talk about volk, racingheart etc...

How respectable is nippon? I take it that they are associated with obx, and the last time i heard obx is not all that great.

Is nippon a good company for wheels? Like how volk and racing heart are? Thanks

Heres a link to the rims im talking about (i think the evo in gun metal would look good)

and heres some more nippon rims,,

If I were you, I would stick to something like 5 Zigen instead of Nippon Racing. NR copies alot of rim style from other companies. They'll run you around 1100 w/ tires probably. Might as well add a few hundred more bucks and get some Racingharts.

I had post on this before.
Maybe it will have more information that you can use.

Rim question. Nippon Racing - 14lb 17s?

i'm to the understanding that they are good wheels. that is the only reason I set up my account with them to be a dealer. I really don't like to sell CRAP.

I've heard from two different shops that nippon rims aren't that great. They have one major flaw in them for some reason you can't it balanced correctly with the tires. After a while your car will shake. Then you'll rebalance them and then the same thing will happen again. I think it might be true if shop that sells a lot of obx products actaully tells me to get a different brand.

my co worker has the version 5 and they scratch very easaly. they are about 23 lbs per wheel so they are heavy. i dont know about dents and bends but its a NO NO in my opinon. just spend a lil more once on some good rims and you are set.
