Anyone ever use a Aftermarket OEM style fender or bumper??

Im looking at OEM style aftermarket driver fender and front bumper for a 5th gen and was wondering if anyone knows if they are good quality and have good fitment compared to the oem.

Thanks in advance

fitment seemed basically perfect to me. Just one out of all the tabs wouldn't line up to bolt down, but it didn't really make much a difference. Bugs me a lil, but oh well.

I'm going this route myself, since I cracked my OEM one. I can get a new OEM front bumper primered from my friend for about $85.

Yeah the fender is about 80 bucks or so. Im thinking that the aftermarket style fender is made to fit the aftermarket bumper... thats probably why the tabs dont match up.

Thanks for the response.

I bought a pre-painted aftermarket fender off eBay and the fitment is good, but not perfect. The shape of the fender where it meets the door is slightly off, not a bunch but you will notice if you are anal about your car.

Speaking from the Aftermarket Auto Body Parts business, from what i've seen, the parts are usually very nice and an OEM fit. A lot of times insurance companies buy these parts cause it's cheaper and are pretty close to OEM FIT. ON some cars, not ours, there's something called CAPA CERTIFIED parts which is of a higher standard and willl fit perfectly. This is what insurance companies use the most. Hope this info helps your decision!

I'm probably one out of a few, but the aftermarket bumper my insurance company chose fit terribly and the body shop found this out after they painted it. Now I will never go aftermarket for any body panels.

I orderd the fender last week and UPS says it should be here today.

I'll let you guys know how the fitment is. The guy I was exchanging emails with said the fitment would be perfect... so i'll take his word for it, for now.

O got the fender today, looks good, althogh threre was a tiny dent that sorta looks like a ding and a scratch on the primer. I'll have the body shop reprime the fender and that should take care of the little dent.

It looks just like OEM one to me.
