Well after about a year of use my KYB AGX shocks are blown to all hell. They make a clicking noise when I hit bumps...leak some kinda fluid, and are so sloppy its unreal. I had them on 4 since new...and I'm dropped on H&R race...So I kinda saw it coming. Anyhow...I cant stand driving around like this much longer its killing me! I know there are some guys out there lowered on stock shocks and I figure your in the same boat. How in the world can you drive with it like that? Also...is this typical for KYB's to blow out so soon? Lastly....I think a large reason they blew is also because I had 4 people in my car for about 3 and half hours a couple weekends ago in Philly. The roads there suck...and I was hitting some hella bumps.
are your kyb agxs still under warranty? i'm not sure if it's a lifetime or 1 year warranty, but i believe they're only warrantied with a 1.5 inch max drop. so that could be the reason they've not lasted. you could try contact kyb. good luck

I tried that route already...im lowered more than the warrenty allows. It is a life time warrenty...but that doesnt really help. I figured I'd save the money and get them...where as if I would have spent the $$ back then I wouldn't have this problem now.
^^ well....if they warranty them for up to a specific point, then that usually means that that's the breaking point....at that point, they should last, anything more an they KNOW that they WON'T last, so they won't warranty it

Actually, if they are smart, they'll add in a safety factor...so say the limit they give is 1.5", the shocks are most likely designed to handle 1.7" or so. Basic engineering principle.

that sucks man, and your not under warranty because you are lowered more than the limit? are you sure? it looks like your on stock springs to me............... how would they know, you just hit a really hard bump...

My suspension is so stiff and the 18s allow virtually no play in it at all, so it's hard to tell if my shocks are blown just by riding in my car. Most likely though..
I have a Tein SS set in my garage awaiting install though.
ur drop (~2") and stiff settings definitely didn't help the longevity of the shocks, plus having 4 ppl riding sure does stress it out even more. My advice is to get a set of "taller" springs, or get Koni yellows instead of another set of KYB's since they're not menat for extreme drops.
FYI- I'm riding on Neuspeed Sports and KYB AGX's(mostly set on 2) and it's fine for over 2 yrs. now.
