Any reviews on the Ebay Type S pistons?

Cop one from a friend new, its just sitting there. How is it? Probably going to get OEM Pistons rings if you guys say its good. standard size btw. whats the difference between standard size and overbore?

There are 3 different sizes.. A, B, and .25mm oversized. You'll see letters stamped on the block telling you what's in there now. A's are slightly smaller in diameter than B IIRC (could be the other way around).. and the OS are just that.. bigger than what comes stock.

The OS requires honing the FRM cylinder liners to the right size (don't bore FRM).

I ran the OS Type S OEMs in my car. Just use caution.. it can be hard to tell if there are small cracks in the pistons or not just by pictures

If you're going to go as far to pull the bottom end apart you should save and get pistons that will actually bump your compression more, the dome on those is hardly higher than stock.

The type S take it from 10:1 to 11:1. Not bad.. if you go too much more you'll run into the issue of needing to tune, retard timing or run a higher octane (and around here I know 92 is the max at most places, with some Sonoco stations carrying 94)

yeah going to need a tune with the mods i have. still deciding what ems im going with.
