Accord A/C Compressor

As some may know, my A/C compressor went out in my 93 Prelude with the H23 motor. I bought one from someone on here who claimed it worked but it doesn't so now I am after another one. A buddy at an old hot rod shop I used to work at found one from a customer that I can have but it's from an Accord with the non vtec motor which I am guessing it's an F23a motor? I dont know much about Honda's so I could be wrong about it being an F23a. It's a 1994 Accord LX with the non vtec motor. Any idea if the compressor from it will work on my H23?
Thanks a lot for any information!

Does ANYONE have any clue on this please? I am not able to find anything on Google which is strange. I thought I would find heaps of info on it but I cannot.
Thanks again!

While I can't answer whether it will fit or not it's not going to be a direct swap. Your car is a r12 system and the accord is a r134a system. The systems aren't compatible. You'll have to replace a hand full of other parts to retro fit to r134a.
Unless you're already done the retrofit previously, but I don't think it will fit.

My car is a 93 Prelude, so it is R-134. I have had to recharge the system before as well so know 100% it's R-134. I believe it's the 92's and earlier that were the R12 that your thinking of.

Hey what do you know you're right. I guess Honda switched to r134a earlier.

Yeah I believe 93 was the first year but dont count me on that, I doubt I will be right two times in a row haha. The one thing I think is really different is the pulley on the Accord compressor is bigger than the Prelude but I am not sure.
