Starting engine mystery - any sleuths out there?
88 Prelude SI
This problem is getting steadily worse.
The car is 5-spd manual with about 100k.
When I crank the car, it starts then immediately cuts off like I put the Ignition switch into OFF.
The next day, it takes a couple of times to crank before the engine will run.
Last night, I had to crank it about a dozen times before the engine stayed running. When I got home, I turned OFF the engine. Then I tried to restart it and it started up fine.
What should I check/replace?
12/15 - Another piece to the puzzle. The car's being sitting in the driveway for a couple of days. Yesterday, I get home and check battery voltage (12.2) and found it kinda low. The temperature outside was 65. I crank the engine and it starts up and continues to run with no problems.
Any ideas out there?
