tell me that isn't hot!
Has anyone tried mounting the new steering wheel to a lude yet? I got the part numbers from honda and many of them are different. Cruise control switch looks to have more buttons on it, might be a problem. Compare to this old pic from shortysm22's wheel...
I'd love to go right out and get the wheel, but I know I'll be pissed if the cruise cotrol doesn't work right. Someone needs to do it and tell us how it goes

The cruise is the same from what i've seen. That center button is just a 'cancel' button. Instead of having to press both buttons simultaneously, you just press the center button.
either way, it's a honda system based off the same CC module

That's good to know. Should be pretty easy to wire up then. One wierd thing I found is if you go to the local dealer to order the airbag, they wouldn't let me order it without a VIN number from an S2000! I was like WTF?? They claim it's a controled item from honda, so they'll put it on carfax that that S2000 had it's airbag replaced.
I can't belive they do this, since no online stores do such a thing. Anyway, thanks for the info about the cruise, shouldn't be hard to figure out.

Could someone refresh my memory . . . for the ATTS system do you need to grind a notch in the hub or something? I seem to recall something like that, but I'm not having any luck with the search . . . .

It's the same thing. No need to worry about the cruise. Should be only 3 wires still. The cancel button just presses both buttons at the same time for you.

When you have both wheels out, match them up and you will see the extra notch you have to dremel. It's very easy.

for some reason i think that 2nd wheel looks hideous.
I never understood why you guys favored that wheel. i'd choose my SH wheel over that older steering wheel.
^^ wait wait, you rather have a thin bus-like stock 5th gen wheel with mis-matching colors? Wow.....wtf? And then you top off your crazy talk by saying "however, the 05 looks sexy!" as if it's more similar to the stock wheel than the older s2k wheel or something... Ugh...

ya you might wanna consider the difference in size and not just cosmetic differences before making a statement like that. s2k wheel is the best/easiest way to get the performance of an aftermarket "racing" wheel, while still keeping your driver side airbag and cruise control fully functional.
