I found someone that wants to sell their konis, but they're 2 years old, and to quote them, "they are very worn, but functions still work." would you buy them even tho they're two years old? if so, how much would you pay?
1.5 year old springs (H&R) *should* be okay. Springs don't really wear out do they? As long as they're not all rusted up and stuff I'd say go for it.

How long do Koni yellows last before being completely worthless? I've had mine for 2.5 years, and they seem like they're going strong, so far.

Depends on your mileage with them and the environment they are exposed to.
Some Konis are able to be re-valved by select authorized service centers. The cost can range from $85-$130 per shock.
You must pay for freight when you send your Konis in. All pre-paid via CC. If it is a manufacturing defect, it is free. Otherwise no.

Damn... sounds like it'd be cheaper to just buy new ones.

I think Konis will last a long time in normal street use, easily 100k. But it depends on the type of use, streets, suspension setup etc. Slammed on race springs or coilovers they aren't going to last as long. Mild drop in the sunbelt they'll go the life of the car...
Hmmm. I've got my car set up w/ the old Neuspeed 28mm rear sway bar, and the Neuspeed sway up in front, as well. The konis ran on the lowest perch w/ Neuspeed Sport springs for about 6 months, and then was raised all the way up to the top perch, and has been that way for about 2 years now. The car rides EXTREMELY stiff, but the struts are on the middle stiffness setting. I don't know how long to expect that they'll last, but I'm in the South right now, and most of the roads suck. Should they last a while longer than 2.5 years under my conditions? What's the surest way to tell if struts are completely shot? B/c when I'm done w/ these, it's on to Tein HA's.
