18s on prelude help!

Hey wassup im in the process of buying some 18" rims..there 18x8 with +35 offset and i wanna put 225/35/18 tires on them..my prelude is stock height and i just wanna know if these will rub or not i dont wanna go with 215/35/18 because i dont want potholes to dent my rims..so please help me and let me know if this will workout, even if i have to roll my fenders thats fine..thanks for your time

You will have to roll your fenders, and if you hit a pothole with a 35 series tire(either a 215 or a 225) you are probably going to bend a rim. Those tires are tiny.

Thats exactly what i dont want to happen
what tire do you recommend i can put on and it wont rub when i roll my fenders..?

I want a tire that wont rub from being to big and a tire big enough so i wont dent a rim

I am not sure you can go more than 40. I would say 205 40 R18. No more than that.

you need higher offset rims or then widening your fenders

I have 215/35/18 without problems. but Im lowered and those rims have higher offset (45-50 I guess)

yeah but he said he wants tire tall enough so it dont dent the rim when hitting potholes.

35 will dent on minor pot holes, even 40 will dent if you hit something larger.

8" wide wheels don't fit preludes very well. You will either have to stretch tires or roll your fenders, or both. An 18x8" wheel with only a +35 offset will noticably stick out past the fenders.
