Well, the suspension geometry is definitely different than the Base model. If you have the correct tools, of course it won't be too bad. But if you never worked on an SH at all, you will b!tch and gripe about it. I know my boy at Honda b!tches everytime I bring my car for an oil change. And I know that the mechanic who will be working on my car today, will also b!tch
Really? Every time I get an oil change at Honda, they service guys are usuallhy too busy drooling over the Prelude that they must have forgotten to gripe about it.

But seriously, it really does seem easier to me, this is all news to me...

Not sure.. i think it is that way due to the more aggressive head and compression ratio.. Maybe even intake and exhaust design.. But Kap u should hang with us next friday! PHOTO SHOOT! Me, Michelle, Andy, You and jeff if he wants to come!

They drool over mine, but my boy who is a mechanic at the dealership I goto b!tches everytime. hahaha. I know another guy b!tched about changing out the SS tranny last summer? or was it the summer before? The mechanics there b!tch only because it is such a hard car to work on due to limited space.

Well, if nothing else, the compression ratio increase necessitates the use of the higher-octane fuel. In essence, the Type S motor is designed to take full advantage of the higher-octane fuel, while our H22A4 is designed to run optimal on 91-octane. So if you use USDM octane levels in a Type S, you'll probably get power somewhere in the middle...

As for next friday: Details, details! I'm probably down, I just need the where and when In Michelle's May 5th thread, she didn't know the details yet...

You mean Grease Trucks! And speaking of which, how about we get food in the Easton Ave area and then hit up a few bars? Bolis and beers at Stuff Yer Face sounds good to me...

atts vs lsd

I have owned a lsd bb4 with 142wkw and now type s with 152wkw.

because of the weight difference they are about the same

I have driven my bb4 lsd round a track, lsd is great in a straight line,
when going around a tight corner, lsd will do a burnout and torque steer to keep under control you must reduce a little throttle otherwise loose track time.

I havent driven the type s on the track yet, but I know that the type s will
cane the bb4s track times, I can use more throttle in corners with less wheel
spin = faster cornering! Infact hitting round-abouts at speed and throttle I
can get the back to step out and control with throttle.... bb4 would have
just done a burnout into a curb with same driver input!
The crazy thing with atts is you can full throttle earlier in a corner,
infact on the street half the time I dont have the nerve to try!
Cant wait till the track the type s!!

I have read that honda during testing the type s with atts did 1 or 2 seconds faster on test track than the lsd prelude on the same track?? enough said!

Jade

type s = obd-2b
