Trust/Greddy GREX Shift Knob

This hot little japanese product has been popping up at a lot of local import shops and I grabbed one for my lude. Fits perfect and brings the shifter profile down drastically. It's reasonably comfy and looks awesome.

It's definitly of the highest quality and finish. The jewel comes non-attached so you can put it on yourself. My recommendation is that you screw the shift knob on, but leave the jewel off for about a week. Every time you get in the car, tighten the knob a little bit more as it will sort of adapt to the threads over a short time so you'll need to give it a little torque here and there. After a week it should be tight as hell, then just put the jewel in.

lol, I don't have a boot that works with it yet so I have a hacked up universal boot that does not fit right at all. I ordered a new oem boot from honda which I can easily modify to fit I believe.

the GREX knob dips pretty low.. so even the OEM boot I imagine would be pretty big on it. I'm not sure because I haven't tried it yet but the knob goes down extremely far. For comparison, I had to cut about 4 inches off of an aftermarket universal boot to get approx. the right fit and it's still about 2 inches too tall.

I think 3/4 inch off of the OEM would be a good fit/look right. If you look at this picture of the knob posted above... the threading is at the very top of the knob as opposed to the middle or bottom like mose shift knobs. So it hangs down more than you'd think by looking at it. Like I said though, it takes the shifter profile down a whole lot which I think is nice. Works great paired with a short shifter. I think that paired with a GOOD short shifter adapter it would give an effect just as good as a Pspec shifter or full package..

no clue. I replaced my oem boot because it was wrecked. I have another coming in a week or so. When it's on I'll post up.
