Toyo T1-R's

I recently had these put on my new wheels this past weekend.. I bought them in a 215/40/17 size.. I gotta say so far these tires are quiet, the sidewall and tread pattern looks great, and MAN do they grip!! I put about 365 miles on them so far though.. I cant wait to see how much better they get with a few more miles... These tires were just released as Toyo's "upgrade" from the T1-S.. I have never had the T1-S so i would hope some luders could give me feedback on those here.. But I have to say these tires are sick in wet and dry conditions and they have minimal noise.. I assume once they wear down they will get noisey.. Definetly worth it especially if you auto-X.. Costly, but u get what u pay for... Taken from the toyo site:

Proxes T1-R Specifications

What do you do when you make the best performing tyre in the wet?

You start again and make a better one!

That's what's happened with the new Proxes T1-R, the new, natural choice for enthusiastic drivers. The Proxes T1-R boasts a special performance compound and tread pattern which gives incredible road holding in all conditions, especially in the wet. The V-shaped grooves in the tread pump water away allowing the rubber to grip the road.

These are bounded by circumferential grooves which allow the Proxes T1-R to give you even better wet grip whilst being quieter and longer lasting as well. And, whilst practical, these design elements also makes the tire look spectacular on any car.
The Proxes T1-R is introduced in a range of the most popular high performance sizes.
It will increasingly cover more sizes from 14" up to 20" and beyond as further sizes are added.
Proxes T1-R will gradually replace the Proxes T1-S to be the ultimate tire for performance use.

I have the T1-S and love them, they do get a bit noisier with miles, but acceptable in my opinion. When I need new tires, I will stick with Toyos, probably the T1-R.
