On my prelude I have gone from H+R sport springs/stock shocks to H+R sport springs/koni yellows to the TEIN FLEX setup.
At the stock settings, my front height seems to be a 1.5" drop (no diff from H+R) and the rear seems to be about a 2" drop. It is visibly lower.
The ride isn't nearly as harsh as i thought it would be. Small imperfections in the road are more noticeable than my previous setup, and the ride is a degree harsher, but it is absolutely streetable. No complaints on comfort, but of course this is a personal thing. All this is with the settings at the maximum stiffness. It is definetely less "bouncy" than my H+R/koni setup.
As far as the handling goes i haven't been able to push the car hard yet, but there is less body roll now.
Another huge change is loss of traction in the rain. I am on winter tires right now, but compared to before it is FAR worse. Not even mentioning the turns, if I go WOT in 2nd at 5000 i'll immediately lose grip and be at the rev limit. There is one good side to this - i TRIED to get weelhop and couldn't.

first of all where is a reliable place to get them for decent price? i'm on stock suspension, how much will this affect my car? i will be using for some auto-x and prolly a few track events so i was considering tien or tanabe. do you think the FLEX's are good for the money or could you have substituted for like SS-P's or some lower tien setup?

the tein flex's, according to the tein rep on the phone, have a more agressive shock and are designed as a track/street setup, whereas the SS is a street setup. they also have the teflon coating, which was important to me since the car does see salt. i also wanted high spring rates and i love it.
i can say after driving this in dry weather now, even with the ****ty winter tires, the car both behaves and handles much better than my old H+R setup. i don't regret this purchase one bit, even though i was very hesitant on the price.
as for "how much will this affect you car".... on my car, with spoon front and rear strut bars i get nearly zero body roll - and i question how much of it is the tires. the nose doesnt dip much at all on hard braking.
do i run a wet setup? when i get the EDFC installed, probably. but as long as you think when you drive, even after just a day, i know beforehand when the car will lose it and when it wont. of course im not usually trying to drive twice the speed limit in the rain.

i just order this setup w/ the EDFC and they should be here on Tues! how much did you pay for FLEX and EDFCby the way? did you install them, any install tips?
i did install them myself. yes, look at the writeup on ntpog.org . you *WILL NEED* the ball joint remover tool!!!!!!!
also, don't forget you have to adjust the shock height before you install the bottom bolt. once its all bolted in all you can do is preload the spring.

How are the top shaft portion on your Flex holding up? (Near damper adjustment knob) Any signs of minimal rust, etc? Mine has started to develop some, I have yet to peek under the car to see what surprises lurk under.
well it also depends on the drop. if the car is slammed, you can wedge the shock in.
i didnt have the tool, it took a LOT of trying of me absolutley jumping up and down on the rotor, holding onto the car, while someone else managed to just squeeze in the rears
