I was going to say that too!!!

Jacky, did they come like that without the sticker on the passenger side? Also did you pop the mirror out of the factory housing and glue it onto the OEM mirror? Or did you pop the mirror out and seperate the OEM from the housing and glue the level mirror in its place?

i put mine on as well... the only thing that is not "OEM" like is the gap the mirror creates in the OEM housing due to its convex shape. Not that big of a deal... but its not "PERFECT."

Id also like the take that "LEVEL" off but im afraid.. lol

Hi guys,
If you guys plan to replace the OEM glass, REINSTALL JUST THE BLACK PLASTIC PIECE back to the housing first!! That way you will be able to install the piece back onto the two white circular pegs easily. All you have to do is to push it hard, the entire piece will pop back in.

yes.. just push hard. I did one "knuckle" at a time. With the convex properties of the mirror.. backing up into a parking spot is tricky.. because the mirror gives an angle error. :-)

Really? I find it easier when backing into a space cuz u can see more on both left and right. When i had the oem driver's side mirror, I always had to stick my head out just to make sure.

i think the mirrors are great...having parked yet with them, but they reduce blindspots and are a great buy...

Did you remove the OEM glass to install these, it looks like it. How hard was it to get that factory glass off and these new ones on? Also did you put the leve mirrors on before or after you reinstalled the factory mount... like on the car or off the car?

Some people just put it in boiling water then take it out. This could get extremely hot.

Some people just break the OEM mirror.

Whichever way you do it, please wear gloves and do it safely.

to get the black piece off just pull it off of the car with your hands...dont rip it off though...you might break the two white pegs...just slowly pull on it...it should come right off...then follow the directions in the thread in the classifieds by the sponsor...just dont rush it...take your time...should be fine...

Like lude7uner said, slowly pull the black piece off.

To remove the OEM mirror, first of all wear your GLOVES (don't ever try with bare hands )
To remove the glue (very sticky), I did what the sponsor said: boiled the black piece along with the mirror attached on it for couple minutes.
Then i used small flat screw driver slowly pull the mirror out (I broke mine so do it carefully).
If you see the pic below, i screwed up the tab as well. It happened because the stickness of glue was still strong enough to hold the mirror while i was pulling the mirror out. Result was broken mirror.
http://www.*********************.com/we...MXk1NDE%3D.jpg

Once you pull it out, the rest is easy. Just follow what the sponsor said.
Ohya, one more thing, i had hard time when putting two white pegs into black plastic piece holes. All you have to do is to push harder. Put the 3M adhesive on the plastic (i put more than the sponsor did).
The rest is just piece of cake. You'll know what to do.
