Hella h3 Yellow Star

At $5.82 a piece from ralleylights.com I figured I'd give them a shot since my old bulbs burnt out. If you look at the bulb the glass has a very light coating of yellow. When looking at the light when turned on, it's a light shade yellow but definately a difference from a standard halogen bulb. I'd recommend these bulbs only for a replacement since they're not too expensive but they do put out a decent amount of light.
If you're looking for that lexus look I wouldn't even think about getting these, for that I'd go for the Narva Golds, Piaa Ions, or Luminics.

I have the Hella h1 Yellow Star (110W) bulbs in my high beams and I love them. not too yellow, but far brighter then the standard bulbs.

110w sounds bad on the stock harness. isn't it only meant for up to 55w? do u have one of those harness adapter deals?

plus i'd worry about melting something

how long do you drive with your high beams on? for me its not an issue. I'd say I havn't had them on for more then 10min at a time... usualy less.

I checked the wire harness when I first got them, it wasnt any hotter then the normal lights so I wasn't to worried about melting wires.
I was worried about melting the housing... but for the past few years there has been no signs of melting or warping. but like I said, I don't use then too often, or for too long.

if you use your highbeams alot... then I don't know if its a good idea to use them.

they are rated at 110w, they only pull about 55w. Most bulbs are like this.
