yeah i love mine too. and had mine for about just as long.

btw have yall heard that there is a redesign in the exmag series? because lots of ppl are trying to find prelude applications and can't because i guess they stopped making them.

they said it will be cheaper and make more power........kinda makes me want to wait. i probably couldn't get one for another year though so screw that idea

I love my RS*R and was wondering if anyone else noticed a little rust on the exhaust and piping?

Anyway to prevent it from rusting any further as it's only been two year's.

I would guess that the best way to fix it would be to sand all of the rust off until you get back to the metal and find some high temp paint to cover it up again.

^yeah. rsr's are known to rust. i have some small rock knicks and those are already starting to rust. i figure one day i'll just take it off and sand it down, then repaint.

Can we get an exhaust sound clip in the car driving and another as the car drives by? All I've heard are clips of it revving from just behind the muffler, so I know it's quiet but it would be nice to know how "good" it sounds.

i found some clips on google, although its clips of a 240sx, but atleast its stock, only thing it has is the RSR exmag. apparently the guy doesnt like it though because its louder than he wanted it to be.

240sx driving (inside)

240sx revving

That sounds nothing like how it sounds on the lude.

Yea, the RSR does sound stock. At times I wish it was louder, but its nice to have a quiet exhaust.

My RSR is definitely louder than stock. I've had it on for a while though, and it's typical for any exhaust to get louder over its lifetime. In fact, that's why I sold the Mugen - after a year it got loud enough to drone when I was cruising, which was annoying as hell.

The RSR is nowhere near droning, but it's also not silent. You won't hear it at all while cruising, but when you mash the gas it's definitely noticeable, especially in the lower revs. To give you some perspective, it gets drowned out by my short-ram intake in VTEC, so it's quieter than that.

EDIT: Of course, that situation only happens at WOT. Anything less than 50% gas and the exhaust is pretty much a non-factor. I think it takes more gas to hear the exhaust than to hear the intake. In other words, you'll only make noise when you want to.

I'll see if I can do this one of these days I don't have a video camera but my buddy does so when he's free I'll see if he can record for me.

I've had an Exmag on my 96 Si for about 4 or 5 years now and I have nothing but good things to say about it. Yes, it is quiet. Living in oppressive California, that is exactly what I wanted. Silent unless I am accelerating, with good low-end grumble. It has gotten slightly louder since I first installed it, but that is common.

Sound = 8.5
quietness = 10 (it gets no better)
build quality = 10
Tip = 6 (flashy and big, poorly stamped badge)
Fitment/clearance/installation = 10

Great product. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.
