Duplicolor Wheel Coating paint.

I am painting my base wheels to silver cause it is in pretty ugly condition.
I didn't finish painting all of them yet, but I am so impressed.

I didn't really expect much out of it, but after each coat,
the wheel was turning into sexy silver base wheels.

Color is relatively "flat silver", meaning it doesn't shine as much.
but it is metallic, and it is beautiful.

Procedure was very simple. Or at least, me being a lazyass, I "made" the
procedure pretty simple.

1. Soap & wash & clean the wheels
2 Get 320grit/600grit sandpapers and sand the crap out of it.
(I guess you can use higher grit papers later if you want smoother finish. but
after 600grit, it was smooth enough for my taste so I just stopped there)
3. Soap & wash & clean the wheels again. Make sure they are CLEAN.
4. Start applying light coats to the wheels. Make sure you cover all the areas,
including the "inner" side. Also, make sure you "balance" the coats on all areas,
otherwise you will have half dark-silver/ half light-silver wheel.
5. I let it dry over night, and voila.

I was afraid to use that stuff, especially on something like wheels, but I thought
I would give it a try. and It was a success. I am very satisfied and will definitely
consider these paints as an option if I ever have to recondition my wheels somehow.

Indeed, color is different than factory, but hey, that can be a positive.
Nothing better than being unique when it comes down to cars, right?

*pics will come as soon as I get all 4 of them done.

*EDIT* I forgot to mention. Durability of the paint is questionable as we all know.
Considering a member who gave me advices for this project who painted the
base wheels to black(with same duplicolor wheel coating paint, 3~4 coats each)
that is lasting for 2 years, I assume they are pretty durable. Only time will tell.
I will update time to time.

I've used this product as well on my own wheels. Works great, no chipping, fading or anything. I put about 4 lays of paint and 2 layers of the duplicolor wheel clear coat on top. I've had it on for about 3 months.

The bronze color came out ugly, too brownish. I sanded them down and went with flat black. I love em now. I really should get some pics.
