AEM Short Ram

Just installed my new AEM short ram intake. Not much of a power increase but definetly gives the engine a better sound. Seems like the intake might have been designed so you could take out the headlight for ram air due to the fact that the filter is touching the back of the headlight. Definetly a good buy for $130.

questions

Did you at least feel a little gain with the AEM Short Ram?
Also - with the intake sound being louder overall can you still hear the VTEC crossover or does it drown it out?

There is a slight power gain. And you can definetly hear the vtec still.

the stock intake isn't as constictive as you would think. and my guess would be that I might have gained 3hp. I definetly like how I don't have to oil the filter. I know that if you went with a chambered intake like the v2 you can expect at least 6whp to the wheels without tuning. I was going to go with it cause I have actually seen the dyno on it but to expensive.

where are you getting those numbers from?

show us the proven dyno

v2 gaining 6whp? that is absurd

cai only gain like 1 to 2 whp

it is all piping, the more air that flows out, the better

I have to see about the dyno sheet when I go to drill this weekend. Kevin should be there and I can see if I can't get it from him while I'm there in town.
