Projector building/meeting!

When: ~March 20-23, all days most likely.
Why: Because I feel like it.

Okay, so this is the event. I'm going to be building projectors for 3 people, but I figured we could make more of this event, and probably even turn it into a meet. If you bring projectors/HIDS kits with you, I can also let you use my tools, and help you if you really need it. I'll be pretty tied up working on my own sets, but I'll be glad to help. We can also go out and get lunch, dinner, etc. The area near my house isn't very scenic, but we could probably have a basic meet at one of the local office complexes

Whose in? I know Vic (liquidnites) and Chris (mista33) will be there.

Count me in

Yes I'm very interested.

Omar, I think I can make in only on Tues, But plan to make it an entire day of it.
Can I come on Sat if Vic is going to be there already?

It would be nice if visitors could bring all parts needed for the Retro, it would not be fair to Omar to use up his supply of parts. And bring any tools you may have also; becuase he has priority with his own tools for the Retros he is getting paid to make. It would be nice to have extra tools around to share so we are not waiting around.

What to bring:

PARTS

Projectors I'm bringing

Ballasts and D2S bulbs I'm bringing

Shrouds I'm bringing

Phillips and flat head screwdrivers I'm bringing
Wrenches
Dremel or equivalent tool with cutting bit or ceramic cutting disk I'm bringing
8 x #8-32 2"-3 machine screws I'm bringing
16 x #8-32 nuts I'm bringing
JB Weld
Level
Eye guard I'm bringing
Breathing mask I'm bringing
Electric tape
Plastic knife
Rubbing alcohol
Portable power supply to test projector and alignment I'm bringing
Paint if needed ( housing ) I'm bringing - flat black
Springs/spacers/washers
High temperature silicone sealant

OMAR, Can you please posts other parts and tools that I may have missed.

- Lenny

This is how it's basically going to work. Everyone can work on their retros etc, and use my tools if they need to. I'll help here and there, but my priority is with people that are actually paying me to build their sets. My mom makes me pay her $25 everytime i bake headlights in her oven, on top of cleaning it thoroughly, just to be safe. So if anyone's using my oven, $25- not my rule. If anyone wants me to work on their set, and provides me with all the parts, I'll do it for ~$300. Otherwise, price is unpredictable, since parts come and go at different prices. But once again, if you're bringing your stuff to just work on your own set, and hang out, it's all free etc. Oh yeah, Vic is going to pay for my lunch, and dinner.

Yea just mine and your lunch and dinner. So you freeloaders don't be thinking I am paying for anyone else!

So how many times do we need to bake the headlights? I only know of the initial heating to soften the adhesive around the headlights.

There's already a write-up here. Nonetheless, I think this should be video taped.

Reasons y i cant go.

1) Finals Week..
2) My headlights tabs are busted...
3) Don't have any of the parts...
4) No money (unless someone pays for lunch, dinner, baking fees (VIC))
