Prelude Workshop Meet

Does anybody feel like working on the lude together? Any kind of mods/tune/maint. I'm from south jersey, but we can meet anywhere from Philly to North Jersey or even NY. I have some tools as well.

Like what? I just need to install my rollbar and wheels.. for now..

I like doing tech days like these but the only thing I see is a problem si someone with a garage with a decent stretch of flat driveway as well as someone who wouldn't mind a few stains from tranny fluid or coolant on their driveway..

hmmm, if its only a few we can do it at my house. I dont think my rents will care aslong as everyone cleans up after themselves. I have a few things I want to do myself.

That takes care of one problem. It's a weekend thing, so time is figured out.
Now who wants to do what?
And who has what tools?

I thought you were going to do yours this Saturday?
The thing to keep in mind if you drive some place to do a valve adjustment is that once you get there you have to sit around and wait to let the engine cool down before you even attempt to remove the valve cover (I guess this would go along with any internal engine work).

This idea of a tech meet or install day is something that I see on other boards much more often than the 6 years I've been on this one. There are small scale ones I've heard of but nothing like something the Subaru community has done multiple times over the years. It's a good thing though.
One thing I thought of doing once was doing someone's timing belt or valve adjustment while someone video taped me. This way you could upload it to a webserver and use the video itself as a walkthrough. To go along with this I thought that if one person needed a timing belt or valve adjustment done you could get like 5 people to join in on the day and all chip in for the price I would charge, thus lowering your costs all while learning how to do it yourself (extra points if you video taped it).

Would you actually be allowed to do it at your residence? I really want to come camping and I don't care if no one else does.. I figured I could volunteer Paul and myself.. it would be useful since I'm sure we'll have to do Paul's in the next year.. maybe mine too

since it would only be a few of us, we'd all be too busy wrenching.. there aren't enough of us to cause a disturbance.. hopefully this will be soon so I can get my rollbar installed

Sorry to go off topic here for one sec, but I noticed that Chan and Suppy's profiles are not listed on the RPM site anymore. Is this because they don't work there anymore or is the site just "in progress"?
