Hey everyone. We are currently having issues with the server. One is that it needs rebooted every once and a while, hence why the site drops periodically, and two, it has a memory leak which prevents ftp access and prevents us from updating the main page and other links.
We are in the process of getting a new host and purchasing new software. At that point we will be making some changes for a period of time. Please be patient as we rework the site. If it is down, do not panic, just bare with us as we make changes.
In the meantime, if the site is down, feel free to post in this thread for any reason regarding ohpoc.
Thanks for your patience
OHPOC Staff

Simon I'll be at Kristen's tonight, she wants to talk about it then, are you going to be there?
I fully intend on helping w/the purchase and transition btw. It'd be even cooler if I get to help script and help maintain it. I wish I could have gotten to help hands on sooner but me and Evan just talked about it back and forth.
What kind of software were you thinking? I can get my hands on jsut about anything and Dan mentioned he wouldn't mind using his server to host and hold the data.

I think were just going to pay to have it hosted. Running a private hosting works great until you move the server, sell it, etc, etc. I think it will just be better to have a company do it. Unless Dan has a great set up and doesnt mind the traffic and bandwidth.
I didnt realize Kristen was talking about it tonight. The software we are going to be using is an up to date version of what we have currently, but also gives us source access so Evan can mod it to add some "custom" features . We can use different software, but it will require migrating the current members and threads to that new software. I think we will be OK just running on an up to date version as long as we can add features through the source.
I ll keep you guys updated.

The site had been moved to another server. However, that server does not have the software so the site could not be louded. The software has been purchased tonight. We currently need to stay with the same software base so that we can insure that all forum/member info will be kept intact. Evan should be able to use the software tomorrow and have the site back up. At that point we will be discussing redesign the front page and getting things real nice and pretty . Then, we will move the site to a "perminent" location for hosting.
We apreciate the patience while we make changes. And any advice or help is welcome. Its the members of OHPOC that make OHPOC, the site simply serves as a tool. Its in its members interest to make the tool more efficient and reliable. Therefore we must make changes occasionally.
Thank you
Ohpoc Staff
