Irene: OMG.... it's gonna take us 3 hours to get to D&B.
Me: Where is it again?
Irene: Palasades Center
Me: Oh I know where that is. We'll take the Prelude and be there in 2.5 hours...Max.

This will be a good time.

Oh... and I'm not any good at pool either.

It takes me 4 hours to get to Rahway NJ. It should take me only 3.25 hours to get to the Palisades mall. Like you guys should talk!

Oh and make sure you guys check the weather forecast. As of 09 April 2006, scattered thunderstorms in the NY/NJ vicinity.

It really takes you that long to get there?

I used to do it in 4 from NH . . . (had a girlfriend who lived about 10 minutes from the Palisades).

90W -> 84W ->91S -> 95S -> 287W -> GSP. It takes longer if I hit traffic at the 91 -> 95 interchange, 287 right before and after the Tappan Zee Bridge, and right on the Parkway.

^^Why aren't you taking CT-15 Merrit Parkway? It cuts out the traffic at 91 & 95 and it's a fun drive too.

Ah - 95 is the problem . . . Take the Merritt Pkwy from 91. Yeah, last time I recommended it there was an accident that shut it completely down . . . but I promise, it's fast. Curvy, and no cops either.

Anyway, Merritt dumps you straight off on 287 an exit or 3 below the Tappanzee. And no need for the GSP - you're at the Palisides before you get to it. Saturday afternoon going west shouldn't be tooo bad on the bridge, but you never know on that thing.

Just as an fyi - a time you definitely don't want to take the Merritt is going north on a friday evening.

Although come to think of it, it's not called the Merritt on the NY end . . . It's the W. Cross pkwy or something like that.

Yea I know 287 dumps me at the mall. I pass it all the time.

Last time I took the Merritt, it took about the same amount of time. Go figure.
