Sandy Hook sounds like a really good idea. We'll just have to keep an eye out for the weather.

Is there anyone that can bring a portable grill or do they have them there?

I vote to keep the name the same; NJ BBQ. Gotta have something good to say about this state.

we would have to get there way before noon or we woudn't be allowed in b/c they meet capacity limits very early...

so i don't know about having a beach meet anymore... people getting anywhere before noon seems sooooooo unlikely...

is the location def. set for somewhere in NJ?

I've got a good idea for a NY-LI park... however there really arent any roads to go cruising around...

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...&addtohistory=

Its 3 blocks from Roosevelt Field Mall (huge mall on LI) for those who are familiar..... Lots of parking, has grills on site.....

If we're definately set for NJ (which would explain why people are starting to call it the NJ BBQ), then completely disregard me... lol...

the BBQ isn't set directly in NJ yet. So far the two places we are considering are NY and NJ. Seems to be the best place for both North and South POers to meet.

Throw your ideas out and people can figure it out from there.

We call it the NJ BBQ because, well, the three we've had have been in NJ.
