BBQ v.5 slip-and-slide

the idea has been brought up about a slip and slide. My brother rents out inflatables and has a slip-and-slide. i can tell you from experience that it is way more fun than a regular slip and slide due to the fact that you can keep jumping without punding your chest on the solid ground but instead on an inflatable mattress.

The best way for me to get it from my brother is to rent it myself and take donations to cover it. This has been brought up to a few others and a couple have said that they would contribute in order to make this happen.

The S-n-S is 33 feet long and about 6 feet wide

and so you know, my wife doesn't think we should do this becuase you are all drunken fools and it would lead to damage or injury.

We are gonna need $250 to make this happen. If we all pitch in $10 towards it then we need 25 donations. If we all pitch in $15, we need 17 donations.

I didn't vote - I'm all for having it there and think it would/will be a blast . . . but will have $0 to spare.

(looking more and more likely I'll be moving in the middle of August, need to save as much money as possible - and the ~$100 the weekend will cost me as-is is my limit.)

For the record, I'm perfectly content with a 100 foot sheet of plastic lubed up with glycerin . . .

Hmmm . . . . McMaster-Carr has 5 gallon pails of glycerin for $145 . . . .

Irene, do you have a kiddie pool?

We may have a problem. My brother found a possible hole/tear in the slip-and-slide. Will will be investigating and trying to make repairs.
