ive been having that "infamous" 5th gear/reverse lock issue, my 5th gear still works fine but its my reverse thats really bugging me, it grinds like freaking crazy going into it and it wont engage, im not too sure what it is but im avoiding it all costs.

my actual question is what transmission actually pairs up to a 2001 SE, the tranny code on there right now is m2ya , i had another on coming off of a 4th gen its code was m2sa , the gear box fit fine, but the bolting all around the flywheel was completley different, someone told me any b-series tranny will bolt right up to it but i dont wanna go off and chuck money at a transmission i find out wont fit later, so if any one could help, please =)

Hello all! Just got done with the body work for my 5th gen prelude color: silver satin metallic. Unfortunately i am using the Dupli-color Silver satin metallic. I have no experience using a paint gun. Well i havn't laid down the base coats yet so any suggestions on how many coats would be great! Looking for suggestions on decent clear coats (High gloss). Doesn't necessarily have to be the most protective either. I do have por-15 painted on the metal as well as a bondo coating underneath but i guess that doesn't really matter since that will be under the paint. Not looking to pay $40 a can. I am looking for something decent in the $15 - $20 range. I will need at least 3-4 cans. Painting the trunk, the hood and wheel wells. Any input (negative or positive) will be taken into consideration. I appreciate your feedback guys!

Out of curiosity, I would like to know what Thule fit kit that folks on here are using for their 5th gens since Thule doesn't seem to be selling one.

I may have an opportunity to pick up a roof rack with the short roof adapter for cheap, but the Thule site doesn't show a kit number for our 5th gens anymore (or ever?).

Just wondering what kit #s people are using on theirs.

I had a thule rack for my '91 prelude. The '91 had hooks already built in for roof racks on that car. I don't see any on my 5th gens.

Thule didn't make a fit kit for my '94 Z26, so I had to find a kit made for another car that fit under the door frame without too much problem, and it worked just fine. (leaked in heavy downpours, but I didn't bike in downpours, so I would just take off when not transporting canoes, kayaks, or bikes.)

I sold my 1998 Prelude Type-SH that I bought brand new 15 years ago. :(
I sold it to a coworker who used to have a Prelude. It only had 93,200 miles on it! It was the truly an amazing car. I will miss it!

There it goes! Goodbye old friend! (That's my wife's Subaru Forester parked on the street. She used to have a 1996 Accord EX sedan that we sold earlier this year.)

I bought a 2013 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited with all the bells and whistles back in March. It's not the Prelude, but it is way more practical with two kids! We went from being an all Honda family to an all Subaru family.
Currently waiting on the adjuster to get with me or do whatever they do and see what will happen now. I imagine it will be a total since the air bags popped. I may see if I can buy it back if it's reasonable and then part it out. You can look at my simple build thread within my sig. There are a few good accessories and everything else is bone stock. It is an automatic for those looking for 5 sp trannies.

Don't expect me to really know what I'm going to do for a few days or a week. I'll update when I know. Moderator forgive me if I started this in the wrong location.
