the a/f is fine as a rough tuning tool. i don't really advocate doing any tuning on the JRSC at all, except for having the fuel pressure adjusted after seeing a wideband A/F plot. all the gauges in the world would be great, but it will tempt you to screw around, especially if you believe them to be very accurate.
i think they're more useful for disaster prevention than tuning. spend the $$ and get the in-cockpit A/F, and a boost gauge. you just bought a JRSC, a hundred or two hundred bucks is cheap insurance.
if, for example, your fuel pump was failing, or you had a small leak anywhere (at 100+psi that's not too terribly unlikely), or your FMU was crapping out (has happened to a lot of people) the in-cockpit gauge will save your motor. you'll see the pressure drop.
