Indiglo Gauge Installation

I just got my indiglo gauges installed for my '92 Prelude.

Anyone who's having a problem with this, This is the steps I use to install it. Sorry I don't have a digi cam to make it easier.

#1: Pull out the side speaker things from the left and right. Grab from the inside and pull outward. No need to pull out too hard.

#2: Use a small stubby Phillips screwdriver and unscrew the top dash plate. There should be 8 screws to unscrew.

#3: Between the Speedo/Tachometer and the Gas/Oil LCD meter, there is a small plastic piece. Unscrew that piece off. Take out screw to the far right of clock. On top of the Gas/Oil Meter/Clock, there is a screw. Take that out. Take off the rubber seal lining off the bottom of the dash. It comes off easy. Pull out the Gas/Oil Meter panel. Watch out for the wiring to the clock. It should be a yellow plug on top to pull out.

#4: Now that you've done that, there 4 screws to take out for the gauge cluster. Lift the cluster and pull out the green plugs to the left and right. When taking out the cluster, I had to lift it up all the way until the bottom of it sat on the dash and then pull the other side out. But hey, that's me

#5: Unscrew 5 screws on the bottom of the cluster. It should come off easy, but do it slowly so that you don't mess up the electronics when it comes off. There should be two screws on the bottom of the front cover, take those off and pop off the front cover. Next unscrew 6 screws on the back of the cluster. You should be able to take out the gauge after that.

#6: Unscrew 2 screws that hold the needle to the gauge on both sides. Slide the needles through the holes of the indiglo gauge and then screw back on the needle to the gauge. Reverse directions to put cluster back together. The wiring should be sticking out of the top when you place the front cover on.

#7: The Sunroof/Cruise/Dimmer pod should pop off if you pull it out. Unplug the 3 plugs. Run the ground wire, power wire, and gauge switch from the back of the dash. What I did with the gauge switch is I unhooked it and place the switch part on the side of my wheel, ran the wiring through the into the pod compartment, then plug it in. As for the ground, open your driver side door and pop to the top bracket off the side of the dash. You can run the ground wire from the back of the dash to the front, it's a small opening, but you can see what I mean when you look at it. Unscrew the bolt a little bit and place the ground wire inbetween the bolt and the washer and screw the bolt back in to hold it in place. As for the power wire, I used the dimmer power line. Strip a little bit of the plastic wire with the black stripe. Run the power line from the back of the dash to the stripped wire. Use electrical tape to hold it together. Plug all 3 plugs back to the pod and place back in place. Plug the line from the battery to the indiglo gauge line. Battery should be able to sit at the bottom of inside dash. You can figure where to place the wiring. Not hard. Turn on your lights and it should work.

#8: Reverse directions from how you had to take out everything to get to your cluster to everything back in place.

I hope directions help out anyone who is having problems. If you run into anything, feel free to PM me. Good luck to you all.
