Mine's the opposite..most of the time I can't even close it...I can't slam it...I have to set the hood down, place the base of my palms on the front of the hood, and then a swift Bruce-Lee-like thrust to get it to lock.
That's why in the side pic the hood looks so slammed down...
I wish I had seen 93PreludeS's post about the Spoon hood earlier
BTW I only paid $220 US for the lights hehe....
